This blog has been focused on show issues related to Turkish country. So, in this case I am going to write about economical, social, cultural and educational aspects of this country: 1) Road infraestructure, 2) Education, 3) Job opportunities.

¡Let's start from the beginning as Aristotle used to say!

1.    ROAD INFRAESTRUCTURE:

Turkey's deficiency on traffic signs and road organization are noteworthy. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, an average of ten people were died approximately and 750 people were injured every day due to traffic crashes in Turkey on 2013.

The next estadistics from REPUBLIC OF TURKEY MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT, MARITIME AFFAIRS & COMMUNICATIONS GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF HIGHWAYS show us variables influencing car accidents:

·         Motorway: 2.244 km  % 3.4
·         State road: 31.362 km % 47.8
·         Provincial roads: 31.945 km % 48.7

  • The density of road network excluding urban roads is close to 50 km / 100 km2.
  •  Total asset value of Motorway, State & Provincial Roads is approxiamately 62 Billion€.
  •  The density of motorways per 1000 km2 is 2.85.
  •  EU 15 average of 17 and the new EU members.

TOTAL NATIONAL ROAD NETWORK (KM): 65.551

ROAD NETWORK WITH DUAL CARRIAGEWAY(KM)
TOTAl:

Also, is imprortant to know that the percentage of heavy vehicles varies from 25 % to 50 % on Turkish Roads.

In conclusion, the National Road Program established the following guidelines to improve problems facing the country in road infrastructure, (it's has been implementing from 2013 to the present day):

1.    Staying competitive by reducing travel times and transport costs.

2.    Providing uninterrupted and safe road transportation.

3.    The improvement of mobility and road user comfort.

4.    Facilitating the distribution of economic prosperity to all regions of the country.
